Dr. Harry Dimopoulos
Emeritus Chairman, CRFI
Archon Harry is the Founding and Emeritus Chairman of the Christian Rights and Freedom Institute, and capably led its efforts from 2014 through 2017.
Dr. Dimopoulos was born and raised in Constantinople and he holds a BS degree in Chemical Engineering from Robert College (now Bosphorus University), in Istanbul, Turkey. Upon graduation, he immigrated to the US where he completed MS and PhD degrees in Chemical Engineering at the University of Illinois, as well as an MBA from the Harvard Business School. He is conversant in 5 languages.
Dr. Harry G. Dimopoulos enjoyed a rewarding 35-year career with a Fortune 200 chemical company serving in senior management in various operating and staff positions involving finance, general management, marketing, mergers and acquisitions and strategic planning. He served on the Board of Directors of 7 worldwide subsidiaries, all in different countries. He travelled extensively around the world and lived in Istanbul, Athens, London, and Barcelona.
Concurrent with his professional carer, Harry was active in his Bethlehem, PA community, where he served as President of the Board of Directors of the Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival for 5 years; on the Board of Trustees of Moravian College in Bethlehem for 15 years and as Chair of its Finance Committee for 10 years (Moravian College is America’s 6th oldest college established in 1742). Harry also served as Board member and Treasurer for the Ballet Guild of the Lehigh Valley for 20 years.
Since 2010, he and his wife Carol have permanently resided in Naples, FL where they are members in good standing of St. Katherine’s Greek Orthodox Church, The Naples Council of World Affairs, and the Naples Harvard Club. Harry has been active in many facets of church life and served in important ministries at St. Katherine, as Chair of the Growth Ministries, Chair of the Banking Committee, Chairman of the Christians Rights and Freedom Institute and more. He is the recipient of the 2015 Archangel Michael Award of the Metropolis of Atlanta.
